Residential and Commercial Lease Negotiation

Labrie, Pouliot, LaRocque & Guiel, P.C. works to advise lessor and lessee clients in residential and commercial lease negotiations.

All residential tenants are protected under Massachusetts law. It is important that both you and your landlord understand and agree to the terms of your lease, especially if you’ve negotiated before settling upon a final version of the document.2

While residential tenants are protected under law, commercial tenants are not. For this reason, fully understanding and properly negotiating your commercial lease is essential in maintaining your rights as a tenant.1

  • Rent increases from amount specified in lease
  • Property is damaged and needs to be repaired
  • You must leave the property before the end of the lease
  • Landlord becomes verbally abusive and threatens your safety

The above list is by no means exhaustive. We work with you individually to help you resolve your case.
