Attorney Jeffrey M. Guiel joined Labrie, Pouliot, LaRocque and Guiel, P.C. in October of 1992, after graduating from Amherst College in 1988 and Western New England Law School in 1991.

Throughout his legal career, Jeffrey has focused significant time and energy on community service, not only as a basketball coach and legal mentor, but also as member of numerous charitable boards and, most recently, as an adjunct professor at a local college.

Jeffrey coached basketball for 24 years, first at Chicopee High School under Attorney Michael R. Labrie for 5 seasons as an assistant, then for 3 seasons at South Hadley High School at the junior varsity level then 16 seasons as varsity coach at South Hadley High School.  Jeff led his varsity teams to 7 Western Massachusetts Sectional Championships, mentoring dozens of student-athletes along the way.  While at South Hadley, he also coached the varsity golf team to its one and only State Championship in the school’s history in 2010.

Jeffrey also served for 5 years as a volunteer mock trial judge at South Hadley High School and was chosen by the senior class and administration to deliver the 2010 commencement address.

Jeffrey is a former board member and the past president of the board of the Boy’s and Girl’s Club of Chicopee, a past member of the board of directors at the Greater Holyoke Y.M.C.A., and presently services on the board of directors of A.S.O.S. (A Symphony of Saints), a non-profit organization which raises funds to assist youth in securing otherwise unaffordable musical instruments.

  • Litigation involving auto accidents, divorce, paternity, criminal defense, landlord-tenant, and general civil litigation;
  • Licensed and certified mediator, concentrating in the area of divorce and family relations.
